A pancake breakfast in Carson City will help fund equipment, uniforms, and competitions for young people exploring careers in law enforcement.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Youth Cadet program is hosting its fourth annual pancake breakfast fundraiser Sunday, Oct. 18, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Office Ormsby Room, 911 E. Musser St.
All proceeds will go toward supporting the cadet program and its activities.
The program is open to young people ages 14 to 21 who want to learn about law enforcement. Cadets take part in weekly training that challenges them mentally and physically, along with annual competitions.
They also participate in community events, ride-alongs, and department training.
Those interested in the breakfast or the Youth Cadet program can email cadets@carsoncity.gov for more information.
