The Nevada Supreme Court is fast-tracking an appeal by the Donald Trump campaign aimed at nullifying Democratic President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral win in the state.

Justices called for written filings by Tuesday afternoon, just a day after attorneys for six Republican electors appealed to overrule a lower court judge’s finding that the Nov. 3 election was not swayed by fraudulent or illegal votes.

Democrats are defending the election and Judge James Todd Russell’s finding.

With the Electoral College due to finalize nationwide presidential election results next Monday, the state high court said it will expedite a decision.

Documents filed Monday seek to reverse Judge James Todd Russell’s finding on Friday that the Trump legal team failed to prove the election was swayed by fraudulent or illegal votes.

Biden is due to receive Nevada's six electoral votes on Dec. 14.

The state high court previously certified Biden won the state by 33,596 votes or nearly 2.4%.

A state judge denied the Trump campaign's bid to have the president declared the winner of the election in Nevada or to nullify results and stop the state's six Democratic presidential electors from voting for Joe Biden.

Attorney Jesse Binnall has asserted that so many fraudulent votes were cast, primarily in the Las Vegas area, that Trump won the state, not Biden.

The court heard from 12 different witnesses during Thursday's hearing.

Judge James Todd Russell in Carson City issued his decision to allow time for an appeal to the state Supreme Court before the national Electoral College finalizes results Dec. 14.

Earlier this week a judge issued an order allowing GOP inspectors inside of Clark County's election headquarters.

President-elect Biden won Nevada by more than 33,000 votes.

Nevada has already certified its election results - a similar lawsuit by the Trump campaign was thrown out last month.
