Tom Heck is a graduate of the Air Force Academy serving over 22 years on active duty, retiring in 1998 as a Lieutenant Colonel. After his military retirement, Tom continued to serve for 9 years in various roles in local governments including as a Deputy Director for Public Works for the City of Reno (5 years), Town Manager, General Services Director, an engineering consultant for various communities, and running the logistics for the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Test Site in the South Pacific. Tom wants to revolutionize government and politics in Nevada. Tom’s focus is to produce common sense solutions that produce successful outcomes! Tom’s desire is grounded in ensuring America remains the greatest country in the world allowing everyone the opportunity to pursue their American dream.

Reno needs better growth management, improving roads and traffic flow, reducing taxes on residents, supporting our men and women in blue, and redirecting budget priorities to those areas that directly improve where residents live, work and play.
WHAT’S YOUR PLAN TO HELP EASE THE HOUSING CRUNCH IN RENO?
To provide better oversight in Development Services to insure growth is effectively managed and necessary infrastructure is constructed. You can’t put 10 pounds of potato in a five pound sack and expect it to work well.
