The Nevada volleyball team finished the annual Silver and Blue Scrimmage with the Blue squad winning in five sets, on Tuesday evening. The blue squad swept three wins with scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 25-17 but the silver team took the last two sets, leaving it 3-2.
While the Silver and Blue was broken up into teams, they also spent playing time on both teams. This was the first game action for freshmen, Mandalay Rennon, Savanna Maker, Sydney Petersen and Andrea Alcaraz and all spent significant time on the court. With depth at every position, the Pack is ready to make a run for the 2019 Mountain West Championship.Â
The journey begins as the Wolf Pack travels to Sacramento, Calif. to participate in the Sacramento State Invitational, Aug. 30 and 31. However, the team has another exhibition match, Friday at 2 pm against Pacific. It is free and open to the public.Â
