U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) announced that the Reno Police Department would receive $308,978 from the Department of Transportation (DOT) to continue its program to stop dangerous drivers of both regular and commercial vehicles.
“Reno police have been working hard to crack down on unsafe drivers and lower the risk of dangerous accidents to keep our roads safe,” said Senator Cortez Masto. “I’ll continue to advocate for our officers in the Senate and help push for funding like this to support Nevada’s law enforcement.”
“This grant funding allows the Reno Police Department to continue critical enforcement measures to provide safer roads for our entire community,” said Reno Police Chief Jason Soto.
