According to the BLM the lightning-sparked "R4" fire burning near the California border is 18,618 acres large.
This fire started on August 30th around 8:30 a.m. and is burning 23 miles east-southeast of Madeline, California.
Crews have 75% containment on this fire, but expect to have it fully contained by September 18th.Â
