TikTok asks federal court to stop law that could lead to ban
The legal filing was made after a panel of three judges on the same court sided with the government last week about the law.

The Supreme Court could temporarily put the law on hold so that they can give fuller consideration to First Amendment and other issues.
The law, enacted in April, set a Jan. 19 deadline for TikTok to be sold or else face a ban in the United States.Â
Without a sale to an approved buyer, the law bars app stores operated by Apple, Google and others from offering TikTok beginning on Sunday.
