The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about using laser lights as part of holiday decorations.
  Â
The Sheriff's Office says Tuesday a RAVEN helicopter was flying in Reno and the pilots were temporarily blinded by red and green laser lights.
  Â
Deputies say the lights were being projected as part of a Christmas display and they alerted the homeowners about the dangers of the lights, and helped them to adjust them.
  Â
While they say the incident was not intentional and the RAVEN pilots were not injured, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind citizens, especially those who may live in the flight path, to adjust their laser projected lights.  The adjustment should ensure that all beams of laser light be focused on the home to avoid any stray lighting.
