Coronavirus Testing In Nevada

The Washoe County Health District says a negative COVID-19 Test is not required to be released from isolation or quarantine.

On Thursday, The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services said employers should not require employees to get a negative test to return to work.

This affirms the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's guidance.

The health district also released measures that should be met to be released from quarantine, including:

  • At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared
  • At least 24 hours have passed since last fever without the use of fever reducing medications
  • Symptoms such as cough and shortness of breath have improved
