A break from active showers and snow today for a good opportunity for travel before the holidays. Mild temperatures start this morning in the 40s and 50s before warming up well above averages to 50s and 60s this afternoon.Â
A blanket of clouds continue this morning before clearing up more this afternoon with sunshine and partly cloudy skies. Shower potential returns to the Tahoe basin tonight after 8pm with snow levels at 7000ft. Spill over of showers will take over after midnight tonight for active showers overnight and tomorrow morning in Nevada.Â
Winds today will be breezy sustaining between 15-20mph with winds gusting between 25-40mph with some local areas like the North Valleys and Washoe Valley exceeding 40mph.Â
