The White Lake Fire north of Reno near Red Rock Road is now 70% contained, after sparking just after 6 p.m. on Friday night.Â
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue expects the fire to be fully contained by 8 p.m. Sunday night.
Reno Firefighters say the fire is about 235 acres large, between Stead and Cold Springs.Â
The cause remains under investigation.Â
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says crews evacuated about ten to 12 homes in the Osage Road/Moya Boulevard area Friday night.Â
An evacuation center is set up at 1155 East Ninth Street.
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says no further structures are threatened at this time.
The Reno Fire Department, Bureau of Land Management and the Nevada Division of Forestry all responded, along with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.
