University of Nevada Reno is welcoming new and returning students in person and virtually at the start of the 2020 fall semester.

“Messages of have poured in from parents, grandparents and siblings, as well as from campus faculty, staff, and current students. When new students comb through the messages, we hope they realize how many people are proudly cheering them on at the start of their college journey.” Says Mary T Calhoon, assistant dean of New Student Initiatives.

There are a variety of events being held August 21 through August 28 such as Indigenous Student Welcome, a Virtual Service Palooza and What's the Scoop- an event where students can get prepackaged ice cream and new student care packages.
