The Washoe County Sheriff's Office removed several abandoned vehicles from Sun Valley Monday afternoon. 

They say that the vehicles are a public hazard and are a blight on the residents who live nearby. 

With the help of Nevada Towing, a car and an abandoned RV frame were removed near Leon and Jani in Sun Valley. Several other cars are also on the list for removal but will be completed another day. 

To pay for this towing, Washoe County Commissioner Jeanne Herman provided $1,000 from her discretionary fund.Â
