American Airlines has announced that it will close its Reno reservations office starting next year in an effort to consolidate its operations into fewer offices.Â
AA adds that affected employees have been offered jobs within the company and will provide relocation assistance to those moving to a new city.Â
American Airlines sent us this full statement:Â
"We announced changes to the structure of our Reservations organization, which includes closing our Reno Reservations office and ending our home-based rep program, starting next year. All team members have been offered a job within the company with relocation assistance for those moving to a new city. Consolidating our operations into fewer offices will help us more efficiently utilize our largest office locations, and ensure we’re providing the highest level of service possible for our customers and team members."
