Nevada's Matt Mumme Nominated for Broyles Award

Nevada Press Release:

Coming off of the decision by the Mountain West Board of Directors earlier this week to postpone all fall sports until the spring, the University of Nevada athletics departments has restricted spending across the department, and reduced staff resources, the department announced today.

The staff reduction includes more than 20 non-coaching staff members throughout the department. Earlier this week, athletics director Doug Knuth announced that the Wolf Pack is facing a budget deficit of more than $10 million for the current fiscal year.

“This is one of the toughest days in Wolf Pack athletics history,” Knuth said. “Our department has operated with one of the leanest budgets in the country and we’ve been able to achieve success, in part, because of the passion and devotion of our staff.”

Knuth said the Wolf Pack will continue to focus on providing the best experience possible for Nevada student-athletes.
