The Washoe County Health District says the air quality is currently unhealthy for sensitive groups, like young children and older adults.
It advises that people in this group reduce the time they are outside though the general public was not likely to be impacted.
The diminishing air quality may be related to a large brushfire located between Wadsworth & Nixon. The Truckee Fire is 1,500-1,800 acres large at the time of this writing. It started around 4:30 a.m. and there's no estimate of containment.
There is also another brushfire that is burning near Golden Eagle Regional Park in Sparks.
