Authorities say a 34-year-old man was arrested after allegedly starting several small fires in west Reno this past Friday.
The fires threatened some structures but ultimately did not damage any.
It happened along West 4th Street near McCarran Boulevard around 1 a.m.
Crews responded to reports of a small brushfire at 3125 S Virginia St. around 6 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
Fire crews say an illegal burn started a small brushfire in Palomino Valley while a second brushfire was knocked down in Spanish Springs.
Fireworks are suspected to have started a small brushfire in Sun Valley late Wednesday night.
Two small brushfires north of Reno are now both fully contained.
Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District is on scene of a small brushfire in Wadsworth, east of Sparks. The half-acre fire in the area of Border Street.
The Reno Fire Department reported that they responded to a small brushfire off of Sky Vista Parkway near the North Valleys Walmart Tuesday evening. They said there was one fire that burned less than a quarter of an acre. The flames were quickly put out.
The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) reports that a brushfire started Monday night just north of I-80 by Mustang. They believe the cause of the fire was most likely a blown fuse on a power line.
