The Washoe County Regional Information Center reports that Washoe County and the cities of Reno and Sparks have collectively received more than 350 complaints of non-essential businesses remaining open, despite Governor Sisolak's directive to close.
Officials said each entities' compliance staff are investigating the reports and are giving initial courtesy notices to non-compliant businesses.
They said if the businesses still refuse to close, law enforcement will be notified, which may result in citations, fines and possible revocations of business licenses.
Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve previously said in a press conference that they have already issued warnings to some non-essential businesses. She said the next step is fines.
