The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who died after falling through a frozen pond at Paradise Park early Friday morning.
Authorities tell us 19-year-old Sitanilei Tuihalangingie died as a result of "drowning," but say they are still doing a toxicology report, which could take weeks.
On Friday, the Reno Fire Department told us that the victim was submerged underwater for nearly 30 minutes, and said Tuihalangingie's heavy clothing hindered with rescue efforts at the frozen pond, located near the corner of Oddie Boulevard and El Rancho Drive.
He later died at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
