The Board of Regents has approved a 3% raise for all Nevada System of Higher Education Employees.

At a special meeting in Las Vegas Tuesday, the chancellor presented the recommendation which the board agreed to.

The board still anticipates a shortfall of about a half percent of the 3% raise, or about $6.5 million over the next two years due to a lack of funding.

But the board plans to work on ideas to make up the difference, with the plans being presented at the quarterly meeting in December.
