Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows has unveiled a new store at the airport to help attract more customers.
The Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Mountain Concierge held its grand opening Tuesday morning at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. It offers ski tickets, a variety of retail merchandise, sports equipment demonstrations and a guest lounge.
"It's not called the Reno-Tahoe Airport by accident. It's about Northern Nevada and the Reno-Sparks area but also about Lake Tahoe. And so this was an invitation to come participate here at the airport, we accepted that invitation and it's worked well for everybody,” says Andy Wirth, President & CEO, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows.
Wirth says their resorts have received almost 32 feet of snow so far this year.
The store is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
