Crews Extinguish Small Fire On I-80 Near Patrick

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says a small fire broke out on I-80 at Patrick in the median on Thursday afternoon.

Officials said Storey County assisted in putting out the fire.

Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center says the fire was around .5 acres large.

There's no word on what caused the fire at this time.

Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue says crews are releasing now, but drivers should expect slow traffic in the area as lanes are reopening in both directions.
