Reno police responded after a cyclist was fatally hit by a car near Plumb and Kietzke.
The cyclist is being described as a 52-year-old male and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, though authorities say the sun might have been.
The driver is cooperating with authorities.
The road is still closed but is expected to be open in an hour or so.
