Many organizations around town are coming together to host the Family Health Festival on Wednesday, March 4th.
The Family Health Festival is a group of local health-focused agencies who work with local organizations to improve community health by focusing on food access, healthcare access and education at free or low-cost.Â
The following is a list of services included in the Family Health Festival:Â
- Free flu shots for 2 months - 18-years-old, while supplies last
- Food Bank Mobile Pantry
- Food Stamps/ SNAP and WIC RegistrationÂ
- Free fluoride varnish for children up to 18-years-old
- Nutrition Education
- Engaging Physical Activities
- BMI Testing
- Assistance paying for power bill through NV Energy's Special Assistance Fund for Energy (SAFE Program)
- Family PlanningÂ
- Health Exam SchedulingÂ
- Speech Screening and Assessment
Wednesday's festival is from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club located at 1090 Bresson Ave, Reno NV 89502.Â
