Authorities say a woman was rescued from Virginia Lake early Tuesday morning, after she fell through the ice.
Reno Fire Department says it got a call around 5 a.m. on Tuesday of reports of a woman in Virginia Lake.
When they arrived, they say the woman had fallen waist-high through the ice into the water.
Crews quickly pulled her out of the water, where she was taken to a local hospital for treatment. There’s no immediate word on her condition.
Fire crews say they believe alcohol was involved in the incident.
