A new Galaxy Theater in Victorian Square is scheduled to open to the public at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
The new theater will feature the same amenities as the Galaxy Theater at Legends, including a bar, reclining seats and reserved seating.
Syufy Enterprises bought the theater after Cinemark chose not to renew its lease.
“It is thrilling to be a part of Victorian Square’s latest mixed-use venture, bringing a renewed sense of community to Sparks,” said Frank Rimkus, co-founder and chief executive officer of Galaxy Theatres. “Many people remember having their first date or watching their favorite movie of all time at this theatre location. It is wonderful to breathe new life into this landmark spot.”
The Victorian Square location will have 13 movie screens and a convenient way to reserve seating.
