The LGBT community and allies in Reno are preparing for a big celebration, as we near the annual Northern Nevada Pride Parade and Festival. One local bar has made it a point to celebrate all week long.
Carl's the Saloon, which has been a gay friendly bar for years, says pride never stops at their establishment. As the next 7 days will prove, they're especially proud, this week.
Carl’s welcomes everyone to visit the bar, which is open from noon to 2 A.M. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 4 A.M. Friday and Saturday.
The Week’s Events:
- Trans Pride Celebration, Monday July 23
- “Gayme” Night, Tuesday July 24
- Mai Tai Tiki Party, Wednesday July 25
- Deluxe Underwear Night, Thursday July 26
- “Tuck and Cover” Drag Night, Friday July 27
- Carl’s Unofficial Pride Blast Off, Saturday July 28
- Pride Tea Dance, Sunday July 29
The week will culminate in the annual Northern Nevada Pride Parade and Festival which begins Saturday at 10 A.M. at the corner of Fourth St. and Virginia St. The route will continue up Virginia St., ending at the festival at Wingfield Park.
