On Monday, by executive order, Governor Steve Sisolak ordered the flags of the United States and the State of Nevada to be flown at half-staff at the state Capitol and all State public buildings and grounds from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019.
The order is in remembrance and honor of the lives lost in the shooting that occurred in Las Vegas on October 1st, 2017.
In the executive order, Governor Sisolak said in part quote:
"Through our grief, we reflect on the outpouring of kindness and support received from fellow Americans and communities worldwide, and we express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who helped us become 'Vegas Stronger.'”
