Medical authorities say one person was flown by Careflight to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno after a head-on crash on south Carson Street and Eagle Station Lane in Carson City.
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The Carson City Sheriff's Office says one woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Her child was also transported to Renown as a precaution.
The other driver was not hurt.
Deputies say the crash remains under investigation, but they do say there were no signs of impairment.
Surrounding roads have since reopened to traffic.
