The Nevada Department of Corrections says an inmate has died at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Authorities say 59-year-old Randy Richmond died Monday at the Regional Medical Facility at the center.
Richmond was committed from Washoe County serving consecutive sentences of life for lewdness with a minor and failing to register as a sex offender.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine a cause of death.
Richmond reported no next of kin.
Richmond had been incarcerated with the NDOC since May 9, 2001.
