We are seeing a lot of orange cones out there lately, as crews are taking advantage of the warmer weather.
NDOT is finishing construction that started last year resurfacing the stretch of 395 from Parr Boulevard to the bowl and I-580 from the bowl to Mill Street. Drivers should expect single lane and ramp closures. That's from 9pm to 5am Sunday through Thursday. They will also have ramp closures in the area, although NDOT tells us to help drivers, they won’t have two ramps next to each other closed at one time.
The other big one is the resurfacing project on I-80 from Keystone to the state line. This will impact drivers from 7pm-7am. This one is mostly near the Verdi/Mogul area and will cause single lane closures in the eastbound lanes.
The City of Reno says on Wednesday Buck Drive will be closed between Lemmon Drive and North Hills Boulevard and should last for a week. City officials say drivers will still be able to get to businesses in the area. It’s all part of a project to install new sewer lines to the lift station there.
A new monthly event will start up this week. It's called 3rd Thursdays, because it happens every 3rd Thursday from 4pm to 9pm. But the city will be closing down Victorian Avenue from Pyramid to 11th Street starting at 4 a-m... through midnight.
And NDOT will also be working on U.S. 50 in eastern Carson City Tuesday through Thursday between Asphalt Drive and College Parkway. Drivers should expect single lane closures from 8am-3pm.
