In recognition of Patriot Day, on Tuesday, Sept. 11, THE ROW- Silver Legacy, Circus Circus and the Eldorado- will offer one free breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet at The Buffet at the Eldorado to all First Responders with valid identification.
In addition, THE ROW will host its 16th annual Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony on Tuesday at 12 p.m. with a moment of silence and singing of “God Bless America” by team member Traci Adamson. The ceremony will take place at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino on the Mezzanine between Flavors! the Buffet and Café Central. Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue.
At the Atlantis Casino, the United Blood Services is holding their 'Heroes Remembered Blood Drive'. Following the morning of September 11, 2001, individuals across the nation rushed to their local blood centers to help those in need. This annual blood drive celebrates that same spirit of generosity which helped our country heal in more ways than one. All participants will receive an "American Heroes"-inspired pin and be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a vacation to Hawaii.
The blood drive goes from 11:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Donors can schedule their appointment at BloodHero.com and using sponsor code: 9/11Heroes or by calling 800-696-4484. Donors must bring a photo ID and walk-ins are also welcome.
The Nevada Veteran’s Coalition held its yearly 9/11 Memorial Service at the Out of Town Park in Fernley. The Nevada Veterans Coalition has been conducting this memorial service for 17 years.
The City of Fallon will hold a memorial service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the City Hall Courtyard at 55 West Williams Avenue A. Governor Brian Sandoval, Fallon Mayor Ken Tedford and several council people are expected to attend the service.
At 6 p.m., a remembrance ceremony will be held in Carson City at the Mills Park World Trade Center I-beam memorial.
