Northern Nevada donors are being asked to step up during a critical summer blood drive in Reno.

January 6th marks the beginning of Vitalant's two-day All Reno Radio Blood Drive at the Atlantis Resort and Casino.

Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo joins governors nationwide to promote National Blood Donation Week and support local blood banks.

Community members are invited to donate blood and cast a vote in support of their favorite Sparks emergency agency.

Thanks to an outpouring of community support, this year's Give 2 Live Blood Drive collected enough blood to help up to 930 patients in need. 

The Storey County Sheriff's Office and the Storey County Fire Department are going head to head in a friendly competition for a good cause.

A Vitalant blood mobile will be at the Atlantis in the west parking lot from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for anyone who would like to donate.
