The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is one of 12 colleges and universities in the running to be an expansion of Camp Kesem.
The camp helps support children whose parents are fighting cancer, by operating free summer camps for them.
One UNR student who worked at a camp in Utah says the experience changed her for the better.
"These kids are some of the bravest people I know and they really touched my heart because you don't know what they're going through, but once they open up to you it's like a whole different ball game,” says Madison Gage, student at UNR.
The university with the most votes by Friday will be selected for the expansion.
