Lyon County says that reports of flash flooding are coming in from the east Mason Valley just east of Yerington.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office and road department personnel have responded.
They said there are no reported injuries at this time.
They also said there are a number of yards with water, mud and debris in them. Road crews are working to make roads passable by tonight.
Lyon County said major repairs will begin tomorrow.
The area from Nadel Lane east to Bonanza Lane was the hardest hit area. One home was reported to have water in it.
