Lyon County Sheriff's Office says a suspect was arrested after a standoff in Stagecoach on Tuesday.

Deputies say they were called to a domestic dispute at a home on Appaloosa Court around 9 a.m. 

They spoke to a woman who had injuries to her face and tried to get another man in the house to come out. 

Deputies were told the suspect, 37-year-old George 'Vic' Sheppard have had a gun on him. 

"So we kinda backed off and made a perimeter around the house and continued to make attempts to get him to come out."

SWAT was eventually called in and Sheppard surrendered about an hour later. 

Sheppard was subsequently booked into the Lyon County Jail, where he will face charges of Domestic Battery. His bail was set at $3,140.00 

The victim in this case was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.Â
