The Reno Fire Department says they responded to a water rescue on Friday afternoon.
They said the call came in around 4:14 p.m.
They said a man possibly jumped or fell into the river near the West Street pedestrian bridge and crews found him near Virginia Street partly under water.
Reno Fire said he wasn't breathing and didn't have a pulse when they pulled him out.
They said he was taken to the hospital.Â
Reno Fire wants to remind everyone that there is still danger with the river even though it has gone down since the major spring runoff.
