Her appointment to the bench over 17 other applicants marks the latest chapter in a decade-long political career. 

If convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison on each count.

Fiore is accused of four felony counts of wire fraud and felony conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
