The Miss Universe Organization says the 2019 Miss Teen USA and Miss USA Pageants are both coming to Reno.
One day earlier, the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Directors approved special funding to bring the 2019 Miss USA Pageant to Reno.
The board approved a request by the pageant's owners "to provide special funding for the 2019 Miss USA Pageant to take place in Reno/Sparks in an amount not to exceed $350,000."
The Miss USA 2019 pageant is scheduled for May 2, 2019 and will air on Fox from inside the Grand Sierra Resort. Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa are set to host this year's competition.

The Miss Teen USA Pageant will livestream from Reno on April 28th.
Miss Nebraska won the 2018 national pageant, which has been held annually since 1952.
Miss USA was held in Las Vegas in 2012. Miss Nevada Jade Kelsall was third runner-up.
Miss Teen USA was also held in Las Vegas in 2016. Miss Teen Nevada Carissa Morrow was fourth runner-up.
