Pool Tests Positive for West Nile Virus in Washoe County

Another round of mosquito fogging treatments will be taking place in the Damonte Ranch area Thursday and Friday.

After several positive test results in Nevada, health authorities are increasing their efforts to decrease mosquito populations.

The Washoe County Health District says the fogging will target mature mosquitoes in the areas of Damonte Ranch, Steamboat Parkway, Sage Hill Road and Veterans Parkway.

The fogging will be conducted from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. both days.
