when Jay Garrett reached this red light on Seventh Street at Keystone, Reno police attempted to arrest him on charges of murdering his wife just minutes before. Seeing a break in traffic, he accelerated and made a right turn leading police through northwest Reno at speeds of 60 miles per hour. He finally pulled into his driveway, exited his vehicle and fired a shot at one officer. The three motor officers then opened fire for the second time wounding him in the neck and elbow. The first shots, fire as he attempted to flee at Seventh and Keystone wounded him in the leg.
