The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has had to cancel its 12th annual National Night Out in Mills Park.
The event had been scheduled for Tuesday at 5 p.m., but the sheriff's office says public safety vehicles that had been scheduled to be there would have caused irreparable damaged the park due to ground saturation from our recent rain.
The sheriff's office apologizes for the inconvenience and hopes to hold the event again next year.
