Nevada's Department of Corrections says it's trying to control a gastrointestinal outbreak at Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
NDOC says the correctional center is working with the state Department of Health and Human Services and the state epidemiologist to control the transmission.
People visiting the prison and inmates and staff are being reminded about proper hygiene.
NDOC says there were no new reported cases of gastrointestinal illness at NNCC over the weekend.
