I-80 East Ramp to USA Parkway to Temporarily Close on Saturday

NDOT will intermittently close Kietzke Lane between Galletti Way and East Second Street to traffic 8 pm to 5 am nightly through the morning of Saturday, Aug. 25.

NDOT will continue to reconstruct the roadway surface of Interstate 580 and U.S. 395 near the Reno spaghetti bowl. Nearby detours will be available.

All lanes will be open during the day.

The work is part of approximately $8 million in improvements to resurface sections of U.S. 395 from the spaghetti bowl to north McCarran Boulevard and I-580 between Second Street and the spaghetti bowl.

Kietzke Lane below the interstate is being closed as crews improve the concrete exterior of bridge piers which carry the interstate over the Truckee River area.

As a reminder to motorists, the following lane and ramp closures will also continue to be in place as part of the project (similar to overnight lane and ramp closures in place since spring):

• North McCarran Boulevard on ramps to southbound and northbound U.S. 395 will intermittently be closed 8 pm to 5 am nightly Monday, Aug. 20 through Saturday, Aug. 25.

• Northbound Interstate 580 ramp to Interstate 80 westbound ramp will intermittently be closed 8 pm to 5 am nightly Monday, Aug. 20 through Saturday, Aug. 25.

• Overnight lane closures will continue on both directions of I-580 and U.S. 395 between Oddie Boulevard and north McCarran Boulevard 8 pm to 5 am Monday through Saturday nights.
