Authorities have identified a body found in a South Lake Tahoe meadow last month.

Police say the body of 50-year old Tracey Megenhardt was found on Jan. 22 by a wildlife photographer in melting snow.

Police say Megenhardt was known to be homeless. 

The cause of death remains under investigation.
