The City of South Lake Tahoe is warning that bears will soon be emerging from their dens, as we approach Spring, including mother bears and their new cubs.
The City is reminding people to secure trash to help keep the animals out of residential and commercial areas.
They also ask to be aware of your surroundings and take it slow while driving, since cubs may be slowly making their way across roadways after a mother bear crosses.
