Organizers say more than 10,000 northern Nevadans participated in the No Kings Rally in downtown Reno Saturday.
The Reno event was just one of over 3,000 planned worldwide to protest the Trump Administration.
“Everyone shows up for their own reasons,” says Kimberly Carden of Indivisible Northern Nevada. “The war, the economy, healthcare, terrorizing our neighbors and communities - the damage this administration is inflicting on our country is unfathomable. No matter what issue or service is important to you, chances are, they are destroying it. That’s why we see these events continue to grow."
The Reno march took place on Liberty and Virginia Streets and was followed by a rally at City Hall Plaza near the Believe sign.
In Nevada, events were also held in Carson City, Las Vegas, Fallon, Elko, Lovelock, Hawthorne, Henderson, Hawthorne, Pahrump, and Mesquite.
