Residential burn restrictions were lifted for the Truckee Fire Protection District on Friday.

The area where restrictions have been lifted covers areas of Nevada, Yuba, Placer and Sierra Counties within California.

People with residential burn permits can now resume burning on permissible burn days.

Burning is not allowed without a permit.

Permits can be obtained at this link.

People are asked to use caution while burning, and to follow all guidelines to maintain control of their fires.
