The Forest Service is planning to conduct prescribed burns near Boca and Stampede Reservoirs.Â
The controlled burns will occur over the next week and will involve up to 115 acres near Truckee.
Smoke may settle into the valleys in the evening and lift in the morning. Â
The Forest Service says the goal with prescribed burns is to reduce fuels and promote forest health.
