Members of the Human Exploitation and Trafficking unit, plus additional resources from the Regional Gang Unit and Reno Police Departments Mobile Engagement team participated in a multiple state operation called "Operation Coast to Coast."
More than 250 law enforcement agencies across 30 states participated Thursday to identify victims, arrest traffickers and buyers, and seize criminal assets.Â
It's one of the largest anti-human trafficking operations ever conducted in the United States.
The Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit is a regional task force made up of Detectives from the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department, and Washoe County School Police Department.
Nationwide the operation identified 154 victims and resulted in 139 arrests. The following people were arrested in northern Nevada:Â Â
- Donte Washington, 35, pandering
- Adam Brenner, 45, active warrant for failing to appear for a pending pandering domestic violence case
- Darren Morgan, 40, active warrant for failing to appear for a pandering domestic violence case and an active warrant for failing to appear for a possession of a controlled substance case
- Leon Sadler, 47, active warrant for absconding form parole, and convicted person failing to register
